I used to think time was my biggest problem.

Working at a Walmart distribution center. Four kids at home. A wife. Bills that needed paying every single month. How was I supposed to build anything with what was left over?

Then I did the math. Really did it. And it changed how I saw everything.

"You don't need more time. You need to stop underestimating what you can do with the time you already have."

The Real Numbers

There are 168 hours in a week. Here's where mine go:

36 hours a week. Almost a full additional work week. Not of leisure time — I'm not pretending the evenings are empty. But of time that could be redirected toward building something.

Even if I only captured 10 of those 36 hours for building my businesses — that's 10 hours a week. 40 hours a month. 480 hours a year.

What could you build with 480 focused hours? Almost anything.

Where the Time Actually Goes

Before I started building I never tracked where my time went. I just felt busy.

When I actually looked at it I found hours I didn't know I had:

That was 4 hours a day I was giving to screens. Not to family. Not to rest. To screens.

I didn't eliminate all of it. But redirecting half of it — 2 hours a day — gave me more than enough to build two businesses while working full time.

The System I Built Around My Time

I stopped managing tasks and started managing energy. Here's the difference:

Managing tasks: making a to-do list and hoping you get through it.

Managing energy: knowing when you're sharpest and protecting that time for your highest-value work.

My sharpest time is early morning. So that's when I do the creative work — writing, strategizing, building products. The lower-energy work — scheduling, responding to messages, reviewing ads — happens during breaks and evenings when my mental capacity is lower.

The Tool That Changed Everything

AI.

I use AI tools every single day to compress work that used to take hours into minutes. Writing captions. Drafting email responses. Creating outlines. Building prompts for marketing copy.

What used to take me 3 hours of writing now takes 45 minutes with AI doing the heavy lifting on the structure and me adding the voice, the story, and the detail.

That's why I built the PromptBoss AI prompt pack — 100 copy-paste prompts for business owners who want to work faster without sacrificing quality.

The New Book I'm Writing

Everything I've learned about starting and running businesses with limited time and limited resources is going into a new book — How to Start Any Company as a Beginner.

Not theory. Not advice from someone who had funding and connections and free time. Practical systems from someone who built in the margins of a life that was already full.

It's coming soon. If you want to be the first to know when it drops — get on the list at eliacin.org.

You have more time than you think. The question is what you're willing to trade your scrolling hours for.
